' Fryderyk Chopin ' Engraving from an original portrait : Ary Scheffer . Engraver August Weger

In 1846 , Ary Scheffer (1795 - 1858 ) painted a portrait of Chopin at Nohant , George Sand's estate in central France . This engraving , made by August Weger ( 1823 - 1892 ) is based on Scheffer's painting
